The FJC, Inc. 2742 R12 Service Port Thread Chaser is a dedicated tool engineered to restore and clean damaged, corroded, or cross-threaded access fittings on vintage R-12 air conditioning systems.
- Primary Application: Cleans and repairs male external threads on vintage R-12 mobile air conditioning service valve ports.
- Non-Cutting Thread Restoration: Designed to reform and straighten existing metal threads on valve bodies rather than cutting them away, preventing leaks when attaching gauge set couplers or charge adapters.
- Standard Fitment: Compatible with standard 1/4″ SAE flare service fittings found on R-12 high-side and low-side charge ports.
